You can control page turns, the metronome, and the audio player using a Bluetooth foot pedal or MIDI device. Most Bluetooth foot pedals should be compatible with Music Stand without requiring any special support or updates.
Any foot pedal that works like a USB or Bluetooth keyboard and doesn't require special software should work fine with Music Stand. From the Settings, you can Configure Music Stand to work with your pedal.
Once you set it, it will remember the settings the next time you use the app.
-
To connect a Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and pair your device.
Tip
The iPad cannot recognize keys from some input devices, such as "Page up" or "Page down," because they are not ordinary letters or numbers. To see what keys correspond to your pedals, open the Notes app on your iPad and press the pedals.
-
If your pedal is programmable, it is recommended that you program the Down-Arrow key to "Next Page" and the Up-Arrow key to "Previous Page."
Tip
If you don't see the iPad keyboard when your pedal is connected, use the toggle with the software button that appears on the iPad itself in the bottom-right corner.
Check out the table below for some recommended pedals.
